Country View is a modern, fully furnished 30'x36' log home located on 150 private acres in Taylor County, near Medford, Wisconsin. It is available year round and can be rented by the day, a week at a time or by the weekend. The lovely Country View Log Cabin getaway easily sleeps 10 adults and is located in a wooded acreage on 150 acres of private land. It is secluded from the main road but has easy access. The cabin is a handicap accessible, non-smoking facility. Pets are allowed indoors if they are confined in kennels.

The state-of-the-art in-floor gas heat system means that the tiled floors are always warm and each room is thermostatically controlled. Ceiling fans circulate the air to maintain even heating and quiet comfort.
This skillfully hand crafted log home offers solitude and relaxation for those who just want to kick back and get away from it all. The floor to vaulted ceiling windows provide an exceptional view of the 100 acre private forest opening onto 50 acres of meadow. In the evenings you can watch the deer as they come out of the woods to feed or enjoy the many birds that are attracted to the diverse habitat.
A cement patio surrounds the cabin at ground level, so access is easy for wheelchairs. Gravel is laid beyond the cement. That means no mud tracking into the cabin and less mess for the guests. A campfire area is setup in one corner of the yard and picnic tables and lawn chairs are furnished.
If the weather doesn't cooperate and you are confined indoors for the day, this lovely log cabin will make your indoor stay a pleasure. Enjoy the homey atmosphere, play cards, tell stories about the one that got away or watch the Packers game on TV!
Hunting, hiking, cross country skiing and exploring are allowed on the property surrounding Country View, which includes 100 acres of private woodland and 50 acres of open land.
Outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds will find the Country View Log Cabin to be a convenient, fun place to stay. Of special interest to snowmobilers is the half mile trail which connects the cabin to the snowmobile trail that is part of the statewide snowmobile trail network. Fishermen will find near by access to Rib Lake and Wellington Lake, both of which offer open water and ice fishing opportunities. Hunting is allowed in our woods during the hunting season and there are several public hunting and fishing areas (including the Chequamegon National Forest) close by. Please note, if you hunt with a dog, you may either keep it tied outside or keep it indoors in your kennel.
There are a number of area attractions to enjoy while staying at the Country View Log Cabin that are either in the immediate area or within close driving distance.

Country View is located in Taylor County in the north-central part of Wisconsin and about 10 miles north of the city of Medford, Wisconsin.
Driving Directions: From Medford or Rib Lake, take Highway 13 to County road M. Go East on County M about 5 3/4 miles. Watch for the large Log Cabin in the woods about 1/4 mile off the road on the north side. The long driveway is just past a mobile home that is also on the north side of the road.
